Become A Grand Rivers Ambassador
The Grand Rivers Ambassador Program is operated and organized by the Grand Rivers Chamber of Commerce. The Grand Rivers Ambassadors is a hospitality group whose volunteers represent “The Village Between The Lakes” at official events and celebrations, greet and transport American Cruise Line guests, and share information with visitors.
Ambassadors of any age are welcome and encouraged to participate in the program. You don’t have to live in Grand Rivers or have extensive knowledge of Grand Rivers history to be an Ambassador. All you need is a love for talking to people, making people feel welcome in the community, and a willingness to help. The Grand Rivers Chamber will provide you with all the information and help needed to have fun and knowledge while being an Ambassador. GRCC will provide an official Ambassadors shirt to all participants. The Ambassadors will meet the first Tuesday of each even month following the Chamber meeting to share information. It’s not required to attend these meetings but, helpful if you wish too.Â
Some Things Ambassadors will do
- Greet American Cruise Line guests on the first day of port.
- Drive Golf Cart Shuttles for ACL Passengers.Â
- Answer questions and provide visitors with information.
- Answer questions and give information to festival attendees.
- Be an overall hospitality representative of Grand Rivers.
Ambassadors will receive an Ambassador Shirt, & free admission to festivals and events they participate in.Â
Ambassadors will be able to choose the way that best suits their skills to participate. Ambassadors will be asked to be present at least at 2 events per year but, are welcome to participate at any or all events that they would like.Â
